The system has a population between 10,000 and a million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions make it dangerous to visitors. This a low technology world with technology competency below the standard for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Usani Subsector of Deneb Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Redemption, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. 100% of the world's population is the Human Chimera Jonkeereen.

History and background[edit]

Redemption was settled by a back to nature religious sect.

Redemption is one of only three Imperial worlds that enjoy Amber travel code while lacking starport facilities of any kind. This rare status stems from the inhabitants' strange beliefs and evangelistic zeal.

Redemption's natives have forsaken the conveniences of modern technology to follow a "back-to-nature" lifestyle. While most sects with a similar ideology favor isolation, the people of Redemption are extremely open and friendly. They welcome interstellar trade, but only to bring possible converts to Redemption.

As independent merchants come to the planet, the natives try to persuade them to scrap their vessels and take up the spartan local existence. Indeed, this is the course the natives' forefathers followed, making crude dwellings from their gutted ships and pursuing their unusual faith.

During Deneb's Bad War, the Battle of Redemption in 616 won by forces from Deneb (Deneb 1925).

This world is home to a community of Jonkereen.
