Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Rapacious class Command Carrier is a specialized fighter-carrying warship.
- It is a military ship and a Command Carrier.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
It is a vessel with 6-G and J-4 performance with a partially streamlined close configuration hull. This class serves with the 112th Fleet, among others. This vessel incorporates common imperial design features including the standard Jump-4 requirement, 6 Gs acceleration, a large cargo hold, and enough low berths for a frozen watch. The close configuration hull is partially streamlined for gas giant refueling with fuel scoops and on board fuel purification. There are back-ups in case of battle damage. There is a back-up bridge with a Model/9 fib ship computer. This flag bridge usually supervises flight operations.
- It carries heavy armament and a powerful defensive suite. The hull is lightly armored, with excellent nuclear dampers and meson screens. The weapons include a powerful spinal mounted meson gun.
- It ordinarily carries many subcraft and drones when needed. A battalion of marines for planetary invasions, heavy shuttles, eight squadrons of each of the following; 50-ton heavy fighters, 30-ton medium fighters, and 20-ton light fighters. Twenty cutters, and 50 G-Carriers. There are two 50-ton capacity launch tubes.
- It has a 4,123 sophont crew and 500 marines.
