Description (Specificatiopns)[edit]
The subsector is entirely controlled by the Aslan Hierate. The spinward area is dominated by clans who fled the Cultural Purge, those whose culture or practices were at odds with the orthodox culture of the Tlaukhu. Many of these lesser clans were caught between the second wave of settlers from the Hierate (backed by the victorious Tlaukhu) and the expanding Florian League. The spinward section of Ranib is dangerous territory for the unwary traveller; cultural differences and frequent minor wars pose a threat.
The trailing zone is more closely associated with the Silraaihe Subsector, and is ruled by ‘traditionalist’ Aslan. Many of the worlds here have strong ties to the core Hierate across the Great Rift.
The oldest Aslan colonies in the Trojan Reach are here in Ranib. The subsector is only seven parsecs from the world of Aulryakh, where the Jump-5 route across the Great Rift ended.

Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, three Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Ranib maintain eight Clan bases, and three Tlaukhu bases. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 14 at Uiwuar (Trojan Reach 0135), Iysewekh (Trojan Reach 0640), and Hkakh (Trojan Reach 0837).
