Ragerzesu has a short-sleeve breathable atmosphere. The system has a population between ten million and 100 million sophonts. The world has a colony on Rrigrragaen (Knoellighz 1237). It is a member of Infinity League in the Khuzedhoth Subsector of Knoellighz Sector.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

If the Asteroid world of Duelunogoerrzuez (Knoellighz 1138) is the corporate nexus of the Infinity League polity in Khuzedhoth Subsector, then Ragerzesu is its biggest consumer customer. A staunch member of the Commerce faction of the League, this world has a sizeable population of Vargr who know that their central location in the League and presence on the so-called Bridge of Destiny make them Charismatic and wealthy.

System Data[edit]

Traffic is heavy in the system of Ragerzesu. The three Gas Giants feature traffic control platforms in orbit. They distribute approach vectors for ships seeking wilderness refueling. In the first planetary orbit above the solar primary is the widest planetoid belt. A remnant of a shattered planet, this belt enriches Ragerzesu and its prospectors with a wide variety of radioactives. The second planetoid belt, separating the Giants from the mainworld in the third orbit, features heavy elements that also contribute this world’s Rich (Ri) status. Such is the coming and going of liners, traders, haulers, prospectors, governmental couriers and Navy vessels that an array of navigation beacons assists the system traffic control staff in funneling ships to their proper vectors.

Mainworld Geography & Topography[edit]

Ragerzesu is a world dominated by its oceans, with 91% coverage of water. A population of ten million resides on a single, large continent. Sea-side communities are small when most of the people opt to live in the floating cities. Wide continental shelf reefs halo the continent and present a colorful photic zone aquatic environment.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

With an A-rated Highport and luxurious Downport, Ragerzesu is a commerce hub and tourism economy world. Boasting a Tech Level of B (12) featuring contra-gravity cities touring the skies over the surface, this society has little reason to damage its planet -- though debates in council chambers of the Balkanized governments attempt to present futures in resource use. A local Zhodani embassy is nestled in the orbital Highport; its ambassadors continue to tout their offerings from the Consulate and potentials for increased commerce along the Spinward arm of the Bridge of Destiny.

With its populace focused on consumer materialism, Law levels have stabilized and been shared across the governments to rest at 6 – allowing only shotguns to the populace. The average citizen may or may not opt for such a firearm in their home. Military units feature specialized shotgun ammunition denied to the permit-carrying citizens. Infighting schools abound in each floating city and coastal community, however. There are no Psionic Institutes or schools, but occasionally a wandering, Talented Mentor might take up an apprentice here -- though such is unlicensed instruction and technically illegal depending where on the mainworld a teacher is approached.

Again due to its proximity to the polity’s Presidential capital, Ragerzesu nominally supports the Office of the President, though its main culture fits squarely with the Commerce faction. The Vargr of this world favor trade along the Bridge of Destiny rather than support the Quiet Wars of Knoellighz Sector.

Partially due to its capitalistic consumerism, Ragerzesu favors and supports the sharing of technologies and psionics from the Zhodani Consulate from Spinward of the Infinity League. Wealthy students of this mainworld take ‘sabbaticals’ to Engzoerz (Knoellighz 1140) and its mobile Psionics Institute, Coyotl, to become tested and later Talented. Trends in technologies and fashions permeate the shopping districts of this world.

History-Era: Virus Era 1130s[edit]

The technological toys enjoyed by Ragerzesu turn on their owners during the rapid infestation by Virus. Planetary chaos erupts as networks, home computers, and servitor robots create havoc or self-destruct causing a short-lived anarchy for the span of two years. The Infinity League Navy has a rough battle with all classes of space- and starships in the space above Ragerzesu. After quarantine protocols and precautions are imported from Gvurrdon Sector and the nearby Zhodani Consulate, a salvage cleanup operation lasting years clears the low-orbit skies of debris, derelicts and restores the Highport. The orbital platform remains B-rated until 1154, just three years before the arrival of the Empress Wave.

History-Era: Empress Wave 1157[edit]

Having little against psionics and Vargr Psions by the time the so-called “Yonder Chilling Thought” arrives; many Psions flood the Downport and rush the Highport’s berthed liners in a small exodus from the Empress Wave. Though many families are sundered by the oncoming Wave, there is little friction between Psions and the un-Talented as news reports from other League worlds tell. Though security forces are on-site during the departures, Ragerzesu has by this time learned from the lesson of Egang (Knoellighz 1034) and the Riot of 1152.
