Description (Specifications)

The Pukushik class Cruiser is a heavy cruiser class deployed by the Tenjada Moralitate Tenjada Naval Forces (TNF). Examples of the class can be encountered throughout the coreward parts of Mavuzog Sectors. The vessel has a partially streamlined, close structure hull. It is fitted with fuel scoops and a fuel purification plant allowing it to perform wilderness refueling.

1.	Tonnage	The Pukushik class Cruiser is constructed using a 50,000 Ton hull built in a close structure configuration. The hull is partially streamlined allowing gas giant refueling, that is further enhanced by its onboard gravitic systems. The vessel has ten airlocks. The cargo hold is accessed by a large lateral doors that also serves to anchor docking clamps for service vehicles.
2.	Crew	453 personnel. x25 command, x135 engineering, x138 gunnery, x5 flight, x100 services, and 50 holy marines. Accommodations There are 252 Staterooms. All Staterooms are given over to the crew. All crew quarters, except for the 22 most senior officers are double occupancy. There are no Low Berths. Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems. There are internal monitoring and security systems throughout the vessel. Individual sections of the hull can be sealed off. There are multiple emergency lockers.
3.	Performance	The vessel mounts a Jump-3 drive, a Maneuver-3 drive, and an upgraded fusion Power Plant-5, giving performance of Jump-3 and 3-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 0 and an emergency agility of 0. The internal fuel tankage is sufficient for a single Jump-3 and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration. It is fitted with drop tanks, should extended range operations be required. The engineering section has a main control room. The jump drive utilizes a lanthanum hull grid. The jump drive is fitted with a jump governor.
4.	Electronics	Adjacent to the bridge is a Model/6 fib computer. There are multiple workstations and control points throughout the vessel. The vessel is fitted with communications equipment, a basic sensor array, and has an avionics suite. They have system range laser, microwave and radio communication arrays. It has an automatic holy transponder unit that interrogates other systems within range at all times, exchanging scriptural passages to authenticate and update all systems with the latest patch levels.

The hull is fitted with fuel scoops. The vessel is equipped with a fuel purification plant that can refine all onboard fuel in 8 hours: the plant is operated and maintained by the engineering crew.

11.	Construction Time	192 weeks as standard, 154 weeks in bulk. Build times can be reduced by mass production and the efficiencies such processes generate, by increased financing, and by allotting additional yard resources and facilities to the construction contract.
12.	Comments	Standard cargo capacity amounts to 10 Tons. The cargo hold can be sealed and has independent life support and environmental systems. Sections of the hold may be isolated if desired and can be provided with specialized environmental conditions, typically refrigeration.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Pukushik class Cruiser class is used by the Tenjada Moralitate's Tenjada Naval Forces (TNF). There ten of these cruisers in each of the three squadrons. They have better armor than the destroyers as expected but have less speed. They carry a single platoon of marines to repel borders and conduct boarding actions and contraband inspections. To make room for the armor they lost the back up computer and screens. The main sacrifice was required to accommodate the massive factor K meson spinal mount. This weapon allows them to contend with enemy ships of the line. The power drain cost them their agility.
