Gurquan-Parfitt System[edit]
The primary is Garquan, an ordinary orange main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.064 Sols, a mass of 0.5376 Sols, and a diameter of 778,000 km. (I) Parfitt orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (II) a very thin atmosphere hospitable world, (III) a trace atmosphere radworld, (IV) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, (V-I) a small gas giant, (V-II) a small ice giant, and (VI) a dense icy planetoid belt form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data[edit]
(I) Parfitt[edit]
(I) Parfitt is designated the mainworld. It orbits Garquan at a mean distance of 0.17 AU (25.4 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 34 days 22 hours: it is tidally locked to Garquan. The axial tilt is 2 degrees. Parfitt has a diameter of 2,877 km, a density of 4.22 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.17 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Very Thin, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 0.35 bar and a composition of 88% nitrogen (N2), 11% abiotic oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), carbon dioxide (CO2), ozone (O3), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The taint is caused by the low percentage of atmospheric oxygen, the lack of atmospheric humidity, and large quantities of airborne silicates and dust. Less than 0.1% of the surface is covered in lakes and pools of liquid water. Mean surface temperature: 43°C. The climate is rated as Hot and is static, with no seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is sluggish and weak weather systems driven by the star drift across the globe.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
Total surface area: 26 million km². Water surface area: approximately 30,000 km². Parfitt is a parched desert world with lakes of liquid water located in the twilight regions.
- The oxygen in the atmosphere is abiotic in origin, produced by the photocatalytic reaction between UV energy radiating from the star and titanium dioxide (TiO2), which is found in surface minerals such as ilmenite.

- The world experiences libration, which causes the star to move in the sky and periodically rise and fall above the horizon in the twilight region.
