Nexine is a water world with 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Mora Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Nexine, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. This is the homeworld of the Nexxie, a Human Chimera.
Astrography & Planetology[edit]
Nexine has a standard oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere, tainted by excess moisture that makes it extremely uncomfortable to breathe.
Nexine is located adjacent to the industrial center Palique (Spinward Marches 3029) on both the Coreward Xboat route from Mora and also the Jump-2 route into Trin's Veil and ultimately Glisten subsectors.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Unfortunately, Nexine is far too underpopulated to take advantage of its favorable location. A limited population dwells in small, far-flung communities situated on islands across the globe. Many attempts have been made to attract immigrants to the water world, but so far none have been successful. Current efforts are focused on seeding the world with humans genetically engineered for amphibious lifestyles. Some of the Imperial scientists working in Nexine's oceans are uplifted dolphins.
Most of the population of Nexine are Nexxies, genetically engineered humans designed for an amphibious lifestyle. A small number of dolphins migrated here in 1108, but their integration into Nexine society was not a success. [2]
