New Home is a rich, pre-agricultural world with a moderate population over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in size.
- The world's agricultural industry is growing and some economists forecast an explosion in this world's agribusiness in the near future as new agro-technology and a more capable labor force are imported.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- This world has high-grade living conditions with a good climate and a non-harmful environment. As such, this world is much sought after with large queues for immigration here.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Old Islands Subsector of Reft Sector.
- This world has a nearby Naval Base, usually associated with military starships.
- This world has a nearby Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces.

Mainworld Topography and Geology[edit]
New Home has extensive tracts of habitable land. There is somewhat less ocean coverage than on Terra, meaning large areas of semi-desert and rocky badlands in the continental interiors.
History and background[edit]
The first world settled by the ESA Long range Colony Mission ship C-Jammer, New Home is the oldest settlement in the Cluster, and the richest. It boasts the highest technology, although its population level is slightly lower than the other major worlds. [2]
New Home was the first to construct an interstellar spaceship Outward Bound, a scaled down version of the originals. In 269 it launched an expedition to colonize Colchis (Reft 2026). A second ship was built in 291 and launched toward Esperanza (Reft 0926). [3]
Urbanization[edit]
Fairly large cities are surrounded by smaller settlements in a belt that includes agricultural lands and large areas of unspoiled countryside. There is no one city that is obviously much larger than the others and New Home has several major downports rather than a single starport. Thus the location of the capital is not immediately apparent from a population distribution map.
Military[edit]
New Home’s army is small but capable.
Ground forces make extensive use of semi-autonomous weapons and systems drones. These are grav-mobile platforms used for reconnaissance and combat missions in support of human ground troops. Most of the time, the drone follows a set of commands and set-piece procedures that cover most normal battlefield occurrences. Ground troops ride in armoured grav transports, which mount light support weapons. Infantry formations are also heavily supported with grav tanks and artillery.
