System Data[edit]
Nambe System[edit]
The primary is Namburu, a gigantic red giant star. It has a luminosity of 2588 Sols, a mass of 8.75 Sols and a diameter of 455 million km – the star's corona extends out to 1.52 AU, within orbital position (V). The inner system consists of (VI) a vacuum inner world, (VII) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, (VIII) a sparse stony planetoid belt, and (IX) a dense stony planetoid belt. (X) a small gas giant orbits within the habitable zone. (XI) Nambe, designated the mainworld, (XII-I) an exotic atmosphere]] bigworld, and (XII-II) a sparse icy planetoid belt form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data[edit]
(XI) Nambe[edit]
(XI) Nambe is designated the mainworld. It orbits Namburu at a mean distance of 72.8 AU (10.9 billion km), within the H+ region of the outer zone. It has an orbital period of 210 years and a rotation period of 43 hours. The axial tilt is 35 degrees. Nambe has a diameter of 11,823 km, a density of 6.56 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 1.1 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Corrosive, with a mean surface pressure of 56.5 bar and a composition of 94% carbon dioxide (CO2), 5% nitrogen (N2), 1% argon (Ar), and trace amounts of sulfur dioxide (SO2), oxygen (O2), water vapor (H2O), carbon monoxide (CO), neon (Ne), and ammonia (NH3). Approximately 16% of the surface is covered in seas of water kept liquid by the extreme atmospheric pressure: average tidal ranges exceed 0.3m. Mean surface temperature: 113°C. The atmosphere is active and strong weather systems driven by the star and the seas drive across the globe. The climate is seasonal.
Satellites[edit]
Nambe retains two natural satellites, a vacuum worldlet named Gorth and a trace atmosphere worldlet named Agaza:
- (XIa) Gorth (known UWP ?300???-?, orbiting at 30 Diameters/360,000 km)
- (XIb) Agaza (known UWP ?210???-?, orbiting at 35 Diameters/420,000 km)
Mainworld geography and topography[edit]
Total surface area: 439 million km², Land surface area: 360 million km², Water surface area: 79 million km².
