Dokh Subsector is Subsector A of Tuglikki Sector.
- It lies within Charted Space.
- It is part of the Vargr Extents.
- It is also known as Lloung Subsector.
Description / Specifications[edit]
Dokh Subsector is a region that has seen millennia of settlement by Vargr.
- The resources of the subsector are being exploited.
Astrographic Features & Trade Routes[edit]
The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Dokh Subsector:
- The subsector is a standard stellar density region.
- It contains one minor rift area: the Sogae Void.
- The brightest star is the turbulent yellow subgiant primary of the Uel Zar system.
- Important trade routes include the Dokh Cluster.
Stellar Distribution[edit]
A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Dokh Subsector.
- The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
- The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map).
Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.
- Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
- Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.
Rift Regions[edit]
One rift area lies within the subsector: the Sogae Void.

Locally at least, a rift is an astrographic concept based on Jump Drive performance.
The boundaries of rifts were established centuries ago, when the highest commonly encountered tech level was TL–12.
- This level of technology allowed the routine use of up to Jump-3 drives.
- Areas that couldn't be crossed by Jump-3-capable vessels were denoted as rifts.
This traditional definition of rift regions remains in use today, despite modern high performance starships easily being able to cross them.
Dokh Cluster[edit]
The rimward worlds of the subsector are members of the Dokh Cluster. It is a small Main.
- It has 14 member systems.
- A number of its coreward systems are members of the Bakne Alliance.
Its member worlds have all declared themselves to be members of the Society of Equals, a Vargr polity in Gvurrdon Sector, including those systems currently under the political dominion of the Bakne Alliance. They share a cultural heritage with the Society as well as many of that state's broad political and ethical views.
- Through reasons of practicality most remain as non-incorporated members (effectively neutral worlds).
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map)
- Worlds lying within the Cluster are highlighted in tan.
World Listing[edit]
AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:
- The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
- Other sources may contain contradictory or incorrect information.
Note that some Second Survey data, though only 40 years old, is likely to be out of date.
- Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
- Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Maps of the region created and maintained by interested parties include two names for this subsector. The majority (now Logaksu-speaking) acknowledge Dokh as the name of the subsector. A few maps, with traditional (Gvegh-speaking) roots in Vargr states no longer in existence, refer to the subsector as Lloung Subsector. Imperial charts acknowledge both, noting that the history of the two names is not well documented.
Linguistically, this is a complex subsector with the ruling packs split between the two language groups and the ruled quite often relying on Gvegh or a Gvegh / Logaksu pidgin for the conduct of day-to-day business.
Polity Listing[edit]
The following polities lie within the subsector:
- Vargr Extents - (Vargr Powers):
- Unincorporated Allied Worlds:
Other powers:
- Balkanized Space
- Non-Aligned, Vargr-dominated worlds.
Capitals[edit]
Aroegsukgnu, the capital system of the Rranglloez Stronghold.
Dokh, the regional capital of the Bakne Alliance.
Native Sophonts (NILs)[edit]
The following races (sophont species) are believed to have originated in this area:
- Raekhsva of Uel Raekhsva: semi-aquatic non-humanoids from a technologically backward tainted atmosphere water world dotted with volcanic islands and archipelagos.
Demographics[edit]
Significant populations of the following races (sophont species) reside within this area:
- Terragens (Non-human Terran races)
- Vargr (Major Race): the majority population within the sector.
- Non-Human Races
- Aezorgh of Soghzalghag: native to Windhorn Sector and sparsely distributed across the Vargr Extents. Their name translates as "vermin".
- Dhaen of Dhaen, in Provence Sector: small, long-bodied, fur-covered humanoids not recognized by the Vargr as being sophont.
- Some Vargr keep them as pets or as servants.
- Hlanssai of Vrirhlanz, in Gzaekfueg Sector: sensual, impulsive, emotional humanoids with a strong wanderlust who may occasionally be encountered in small groups.
- They are considered "unstable" by the notoriously unpredictable Vargr.
- Humaniti (Human Races)
- Mixed heritage, most commonly Travellers, traders, or captives held in bondage by the Vargr.
- Solomani, primarily from long-established families.
- Vilani, primarily from long-established (and often reclusive) families.
- Zhodani, mostly Consular officials conducting state affairs or far-flung merchants and traders.
