The Lancer class Light Escort is a very light warship.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Bigger than their little cousins with the same wedge shape, yet they are more maneuverable thanks to a much larger power plant. Lancers are noted for a high lateral IR signature due to the position of the cooling fins. They feature the same low slung single ventral 'plasma torpedo' launcher with a trio of fusion warhead tipped missiles. The dorsal pulse laser array is referred to as a triple Gatling pulsar for its ability to engage three targets at the same time. Its computer has fib optic back-ups, but the design lacks defenses. They are used as escorts or to attack larger ships en masse.
