System Data[edit]

Aakith-Kith Aak System[edit]

The primary is Aakith, a dim red subdwarf star. It has a luminosity of 0.00054 Sols, a mass of 0.07 Sols, and a diameter of 91,500 km. (I-I) Kith Aak, designated the mainworld, and (I-II) an exotic atmosphere bigworld form the outer system. Neither world retains satellites.

Mainworld Data[edit]

(I-I) Kith Aak[edit]

(I-I) Kith Aak is designated the mainworld. It orbits Aakith at a mean distance of 0.03 AU (4.5 million km), within the outer system. It has an orbital period of 7 days 4 hours: it is tidally locked to Aakith. The axial tilt is 2 degrees. Kith Aak has a diameter of 11,728 km, a density of 4.99 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.83 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Aakith cause constant geological activity. Its atmosphere is rated as Standard, with a mean surface pressure of 1.23 bar and a composition of 82% nitrogen (N2), 17% abiotic oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), ozone (O3), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 59% of the surface is covered in sheets of water-ice. Mean surface temperature: -83°C. The climate is rated as Very Cold and is static, with no seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is sluggish and minor weather systems driven by the star drift across the globe.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

Total surface area: 432 million km², Ice surface area: 255 million km², Land surface area: 177 million km².

  • Oxygen contained deep within the world's interior is released by outgassing and serves to renew the atmosphere: it continuously reacts with surface materials and other atmospheric gases, gradually reducing the percentage of oxygen in the air.
  • Kith Aak is a Twilight Zone World.
  • The world experiences libration, which causes the star to move in the sky and periodically rise and fall above the horizon in the twilight region.
