Khor is a rich, agricultural world with improving living conditions due to a bustling agro-economy.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- This world is rich with high-grade living conditions, a good climate, and a non-harmful environment. Immigration registration for this world is always in high demand.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Likagemika Subsector of Verge Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- It is a chilly tundra world, with a climate of low temperatures.
- It is a main world which is a satellite of either a gas giant or another world.
- This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Khor is a binary star system.
- The primary is an orange main sequence.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x2 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belts.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Khor is a satellite of a gas giant.[2]
The mainworld and its gas giant primary orbit at the outer edge of the star's habitable zone.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Khor is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Khor has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
- It experiences low temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Khor has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
- The world's oceans are littered with icebergs and pack ice.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
The world has abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche.
- Native lifeforms are cryophilic - they thrive in low temperatures.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Khor is a Puzzle World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.
- Visitors are advised to act with caution.
Khor is the largest moon of a medium sized gas giant orbiting at the outer edge of the main star's habitable zone and experiencing lower temperatures as a result. Classed as an agricultural world, Khor grows very little of consequence on the surface aside from the hardy local grasses and many species of large woody evergreens, though its cities do take care of themselves with extensive domed and protected agriculture. Much of the wild land here is home to the misleadingly named Sandox, a wandering herbivore that averages several tons at full growth. The Sandox are broadly compatible with Human biology, and the people of Khor husband and harvest them in vast numbers, processing every part of the Sandox carcass in some way, as well as managed harvest of their fur and milk while alive. The Sandox do not take well to domestication, so the industries which revolve around them follow the herds instead.
The "trees" here are useful for heating fuel, though the world has largely moved past needing to use them for that. Some of the wood has artistic uses as well, owning to the reactions of several species when exposed to high winds. The twisted internal and external structures that result have found favor in some aesthetic circles in the sector.[3]
Khor was never incorporated into the Ziru Sirka. Its status under the Rule of Man remains unclear.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Khor has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Khor has a population of 60,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Khor possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Khor is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Law (L)[edit]
Khor has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]
Khor, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of two members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 2 (ordinary)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: E (extremely abundant)
- Labor: 6 (millions)
- Infrastructure: B (very extensive)
- Efficiency: -2 (fair)
World Culture[edit]
