Niram-Kathis System[edit]
The primary is Niram, an ordinary orange main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.352 Sols, a mass of 0.774 Sols, and a diameter of 1.168 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum inner world, and (II) an exotic atmosphere hospitable world. (III) Kathis orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (IV) a sparse stony planetoid belt, (V) a small gas giant, (VI) a ringed large gas giant, (VII-I) a sparse icy planetoid belt, (VII-II) a large gas giant, and (VIII) a small ice giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

(III) Kathis is designated the mainworld. It orbits Niram at a mean distance of 0.72 AU (107.7 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 253 days 15 hours and a rotation period of 33 hours. The axial tilt is 16 degrees. Kathis has a diameter of 7,614 km, a density of 3.43 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.37 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Very Thin, with a mean surface pressure of 0.28 bar and a composition of 77% nitrogen (N2), 20% oxygen (O2), 1% argon (Ar), and 1% carbon dioxide (CO2), water vapor (H2O), ozone (O3), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 38% of the surface is covered in seas of liquid water and water-ice: average tidal ranges exceed 0.3m. Mean surface temperature: 8°C. The atmosphere is active and moderate weather systems driven by the star and the seas work across the globe. The climate is seasonal.
