The Jelmirt Marquis class High Liner is a TL–12 High Liner built in the Percavid Marches.

Description

This commercial starship is unarmed and unarmored and is typically escorted to defend against pirates. The design has many luxury appointments and is considered a very elegant way to travel. On ship entertainment and food are its main selling points. Numerous small craft and vehicles support customer excursions to exotic planetary surfaces. This design represents the mercantile supremacy of the Trading Guilds in this part of space.

The hull is partially streamlined, giving a relatively limited atmospheric performance that is reliant on its onboard gravitic systems. There are 10 airlocks located around the vessel. The cargo hold is accessed by large doors. The vessel is not capable of surface landings and risks catastrophic structural failure in significant gravity wells.
2.	Crew	495 crew. 40 command, 168 engineering, 0 gunnery, and 160 service. There are 80 security personnel and 47 flight crew. Accommodations There are 1,895 Staterooms. 495 Staterooms are given over to the crew. All crew quarters are single occupancy. Up to 600 "High Passage" Passengers may be carried. The steward sees to their needs. Up to 800 "Middle Passage" Passengers may be carried. There are 764 Low Berths. The low berths are tended by the vessel's medical staff. Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems. There are internal monitoring and security systems throughout the vessel. Individual sections of the hull can be sealed off. There are multiple emergency lockers.
3.	Performance	The vessel mounts a Jump-3 drive, a Maneuver-3 drive, and a Power Plant-3, giving performance of Jump-3 and 3-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 2 and an emergency agility of 3. The internal fuel tankage is sufficient for one Jump-3 and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration. The engineering section has a main control room. Ladders, gantries and platforms give access to the machinery. The jump drive utilizes a hull grid. The jump drive is fitted with a jump governor.
4.	Electronics	Adjacent to the bridge is a Model/5 computer: the vessel has a backup Model/5 computer. There are multiple workstations and control points throughout the vessel. The vessel is fitted with communications equipment, a basic sensor array, and has an Avionics suite. It has a transponder unit.

7.	Defenses	The hull is unarmored.
8.	Craft	Flight Section (x20) 20 dton Life Boats. (x8) 100 dton Cargo Shuttles. The subcraft are housed in dedicated hangers: Vehicles The vehicle hanger can be sealed. (x2) 8-Ton G-Carriers (x2) 10-Ton ATVs
9.	Fuel Treatment	The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 26,400 Tons. The hull is fitted with fuel scoops. The vessel is equipped with a fuel purification plant that can refine all onboard fuel in 12 hours: the plant is operated and maintained by the engineering crew. Droptanks Examples of the class are fitted with Droptanks capable of supporting an additional jump-3.
10.	Cost	The basic cost of the vessel is MCr47,263.134 Architects Fee: MCr472.631
11.	Construction Time	200 weeks as standard. Build times can be reduced by mass production and the efficiencies such processes generate, by increased financing, and by allotting additional yard resources and facilities to the construction contract.
12.	Comments	Standard cargo capacity amounts to 25,000 Tons. The cargo hold can be sealed and has independent life support and environmental systems. Sections of the hold may be isolated if desired and can be provided with specialized environmental conditions, typically refrigeration.
