Jardin

  • It has a colony at Pilgham (Solomani Rim Jardin).
  • The world is also a major trading center thanks to its importance as sector headquarters of Transstar.

Description (Planetology)[edit]

Jardin is the politically dominant world in the subsector and a leader in the militant, 'purist' anti-Imperial factions in the Secretariat and interstellar Solomani Party. The world itself is a harsh Solomani Party-run dictatorship whose ruler would like to exert even greater influence over the region, but in reality Jardin is considered too extreme even amongst Solomani worlds. Jardin controls the important Pilgham (Solomani Rim 0332) system.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

  • Jardin was colonized in 450 by a coalition of French-speaking military adventurers and entrepreneurs from the Old Earth Union who wished to escape assimilation into the Third Imperium and had imperialist ambitions.
  • Today, Jardin is a grim police state, almost the epitome of the totalitarian Solomani world. Jardin so enthusiastically embraced the Solomani Movement that the family unit itself has been abolished.
  • Today all Jardinese, except a self-described ‘already-perfect’ elite, have mates chosen for them via the government’s Eugenics Bureau. Children are raised in state-run crèches where they are indoctrinated into the Party.
