Iasanu is a pre-agricultural, moderate population rich garden world with over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in population size.

  • Garden worlds are known for their near-ideal utopian environments conducive to most sophonts, plants, animals, and other forms of life.
  • It is a pre-agricultural world with an environment suitable for large scale agricultural and livestock industries that have not yet been widely developed.
  • This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
  • Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
  • This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below technology standards for Charted Space.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by indigenous Sophonts located in the Orret Subsector of Far Home Sector.

System Data[edit]

Uticula-Iasanu Data[edit]

The primary is Uticula, an ordinary white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 2.126 Sols, a mass of 1.144 Sols, and a diameter of 1.639 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum worldlet, and (III) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world – orbital position (II) is empty. (IV) Iasanu orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (V) a very thin atmosphere hospitable world, (VI-I) a sparse stony planetoid belt, (VI-II) a ringed large gas giant, (VII) a sparse stony planetoid belt, (VIII) a small gas giant, (IX-I) a ringed small ice giant, (IX-II) a ringed exotic atmosphere bigworld, and (X) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Mainworld Data[edit]

(IV) Iasanu[edit]

(IV) Iasanu is designated the mainworld. It orbits Uticula at a mean distance of 0.89 AU (133.1 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 286 days 18 hours and a rotation period of 33 hours. The axial tilt is 16 degrees. Iasanu has a diameter of 11,697 km, a density of 4.88 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.81 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Dense, with a mean surface pressure of 1.92 bar and a composition of 77% nitrogen (N2), 21% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 47% of the surface is covered in seas of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.2m. Mean surface temperature: 28°C. The climate is rated as Temperate-Warm and experiences minor seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is active and strong weather systems driven by the star and the seas work across the globe.

Satellites[edit]

Iasanu retains two natural satellites, a vacuum worldlet named Lozer and a very thin atmosphere desert moon named Chivan:

(IVa) Lozer (UWP Y200000-0, orbiting at 35 Diameters/410,000 km)
(IVb) Chivan (UWP Y320000-0, orbiting at 45 Diameters/525,000 km)

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

Total surface area: 430 million km², Land surface area: 228 million km², Water surface area: 202 million km².

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Iasanu, the mainworld, has extensive, abundant native life, with complex organisms inhabiting every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

The cold marginally hospitable world lying in orbital position (V) has primitive native life, consisting entirely of microscopic cyanobacteria-parallels that exist in any location where they can find even a minimal trace of shelter and warmth. Their metabolic functions maintain the process of atmospheric renewal.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

No information yet available.

World starport[edit]

Iasanu has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World technology level[edit]

Iasanu possesses a Technology Level of TL–5.

World government[edit]

Iasanu has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. A colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
