- It is a military ship and a Monitor.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
It is a vessel with 6-G and J-0 performance with a Unstreamlined buffered planetoid hull. Adjacent to the bridge is a Model/6 fib ship computer. They are capable of 6 Gs acceleration but have limited agility.
- It carries heavy armament and a powerful defensive suite. They have the best spinal mounted meson gun available at this technology level. They carry rudimentary screens, a repulsor bay and fourteen batteries of triple sand caster turrets for defense. Offensively they carry a pair of heavy missile bays, a particle accelerator bay for use against vacuum targets, twelve fusion gun batteries for point defense and twelve triple beam laser batteries. Because of their dedicated system defense role they do not mount jump drives.
- It ordinarily carries a number of subcraft and drones when needed. They have their own fueling shuttle, four launches, and four air/rafts for space to surface interface. The large cargo bay is occasionally converted to allow marine barracks and/or fighter hangars.
- It has a 499 sophont crew and 50 marines.
