Built at the orbital shipyards of Heng-o (world), this vessel is designed to carry out a variety of roles, this vessel can deploy and recover a small platoon of marines. There is a redundant model 4 fib computer adjacent to the bridge. The hull is a streamlined needle/wedge equipped with scoops and purification for ocean refueling. For defense there is a very minimalistic level of armored plating over a few critical systems, and a single triple sand caster turret. For offense there is a single triple beam laser turret and a large missile bay. The ship has good 6G acceleration with 5 agility. The strategic jump range is limited by the TL–10 drives available. The ship can carry enough fuel for two jumps without refueling.
This ship is also built under license at Fu Hsi (world), Chou (world), Ju-i (world), Huan (world), Chin Shan (world), and Souris (world) for the Principality of Souris.
It is commonly used as a convoy escort in the Outrun Subsector and usually found in squadrons of multiple ships.
