Haladan is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and nonindustrial in nature.

• These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
• Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
• The worldlets require extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
• It is a part of the Occupied Territories in the Ras Tennol Subsector of Far Home Sector, which is part of the Distant Fringe.

• This world is under military occupation by the Worlds of The Leader

Gozos-Haladan System

The primary is Gozos, an ordinary red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.0136 Sols, a mass of 0.3626 Sols, and a diameter of 551,000 km. (I-I) a vacuum worldlet, (I-II) a trace atmosphere iceworld, (I-III) an exotic atmosphere stormworld, (II) the Haladan Main Belt, designated the mainworld, (III-I) a vacuum worldlet, (III-II) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, (IV) a sparse icy planetoid belt, (V) a ringed large gas giant, (VI) a small gas giant, and (VIII) a sparse icy planetoid belt form the outer system – orbital position (VII) is empty. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Mainworld Data

(II) Haladan Main Belt

(II) the Haladan Main Belt orbits within the outer system and is designated the mainworld. It lies at a mean distance of 0.45 AU from the star and is primarily made up of carbonaceous bodies with diameters of less than 50 km. The inner edge of the belt, with a higher concentration of nickel-iron bodies, is considered to lie at around 0.3 AU from the star and the outer edge of the belt, with a higher concentration of icy bodies, is considered to lie at approximately 0.6 AU. The main inhabited body is named Jeriko, with a mean orbital distance of 0.51 AU around Gozos and an orbital period of 220 days 22 hours. It has a long axis of 350 km, a density of 2.88 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.015 G. It retains no atmosphere and has no hydrographics. Mean surface temperature: -170°C in sunlight, -195°C in shadow.
