Grand Arc

The Grand Arc is a large Shadow Rift within the Empty Stars.

Details / Specifications

The Grand Arc has a length of around 140 parsecs and a mean depth of around 12 parsecs along its spinward-trailing section. It has a length of around 150 parsecs and a mean depth of around 14 parsecs along its coreward-trailing section. At its trailing end, the Grand Arc merges with the Entropic Void in Elysium Sector. At its rimward end it merges with Hopes Jump in Kineda Sector. It joins with the Nebula Void in Coro and Ulund Sectors.

History

The Grand Arc was first charted by ultra-long-range scans performed by vessels from the Last Armada sometime around 2255AD. Its exact position and dimensions were plotted by the University of Tal Varisa Deep Sky Program between 5520AD and 5550AD, and by the University of Selasia Spinward Survey between 5555AD and 5570AD.
