Erice is a poor, preindustrial world.
- As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
- It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Iselle Subsector of Ustral Quadrant Sector.
- This world-system hosts a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces, which may be located on or off-world.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

System Data[edit]
System:
- 3 Gas Giants
- 2 Planetoid Belts
- 7 Other Worlds
Mainworld Data[edit]
Erice has an Importance rating of -1 (Unimportant).
- Importance Extension- -1
- (The Importance Extension (Ix) ranks worlds within a region. It governs the locations of capitals and trade routes. )
Mainworld Atmosphere[edit]
Erice has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. While the thin atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Erice and Umak (Ustral Quadrant 2920) formed the League of Erice, part of the Solomani Confederation. The King, Imast Hiyu the fourth, implemented many restrictions on technology imported to both worlds, in order to keep his citizens from realizing that their lives could be better. Umak eventually passed to control of Bowles (the Confederation subsector capital).
World Starport[edit]
Erice has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Technology Level[edit]
Erice possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone, radio, and television.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fission power generation, advanced water and wind generation of electricity.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, early ATV's, and dedicated AFV's.
- Water: Amphibious vehicles, improved submersibles, and early SCUBA gear.
- Air: Early jet aircraft and rotorcraft VTOL's.
- Space: Early unmanned rocket delivery systems and early manned orbital rockets.
World Government[edit]
Erice is governed by a Charismatic Dictatorship. Charismatic governments justify their ability to rule by simply asserting their right to rule. Charismatic dictatorships are young governments, coming as a recent change and rely on the leader(s) to supply head of government.
World Law Level[edit]
- Rigid control of civilian movement

Economics: ( 9 6 6 +1 )
- Resources-9 (Moderate)
- (Resources are any materials available for processing and exploitation. They include natural resources, minerals, ores, metals, energy sources, biological assets, and any other materials of limited availability.)
- Labor-6 (Millions)
- (Labor is the workforce available for the processing and exploitation of Resources.)
- Infrastructure-6 (Limited)
- (Infrastructure is the established technical structures that support exploitation of resources. Infrastructure includes roads, power grids, communications, and factories.)
- Efficiency- 1 (Average)
- (Efficiency reflects the current economic system, and includes sensible legal procedures, appropriate tariffs, customs promoting a balanced work ethic, rewards for merit, and social structures which match ability and job. Negative Efficiency is worse. Efficiency at -1 or less turn the RUs available negative: the Inefficiencies are so destructive as to make the economy a net drain. Such barriers represent a welfare state; cultural influences which do not value wealth, even physical limitations. On the other hand, since some economies have positive efficiencies: positive multipliers increasing available RU. )
- Economic Extension- 22
- (The Economic Extension (Ex) is the strength of a world economy and provides basic insights into the economy’s structure and capabilities.)
- Resource Units- 324
- (The world's budget.)
