Entropic Worlds
A group of three worlds in the Querion Subsector of the Spinward Marches Sector. The Entropic Worlds, also known as the Entropic Group, are subject to a centuries-old ownership dispute between the Darrian and Sword Worlds confederations.
The Entropic Worlds include Winston (Spinward Marches 0620), Entrope (Spinward Marches 0720) and Anselhome (Spinward Marches 0820). The three worlds have changed hands several times, and at end of the Fifth Frontier War the Darrians seized them from the Sword Worlds shortly before the armistice was declared.
History[edit]
These systems were first explored by the Darrians prior to the disaster of the Maghiz. The Darrians established several research stations and settlements in anticipation of a full colonial effort that never came. After the reestablishment of the Darrian Confederation, the isolated populations of these worlds wished to continue cultivating their planets. Unfortunately the systems were considered strategically valuable by the Sword Worlds.
- 593: During the First Frontier War, the Sword Worlds annex the Entropic Group.
- 615-620: In the Second Frontier War, the Darrians struggle to retake the Entropic Worlds but fail to dislodge the Sword World fleets, which are backed by the Zhodani Consulate.
- 788: Frustrated by lack of support from the Imperium, the Darrians retake the Entropic Group in a surprise attack.
- 1084: Threatened by the massive fleet base being built at Entrope, the Zhodani fund a Sword World expedition, which captures the cluster for a second time.
- Fifth Frontier War: The Darrians retake the Entropic Worlds.
