Duseb is an icy, low-population world, with a population less than 10,000 sophonts in population size, warranting hazardous environment precautions.
- Its surface is ice-capped with nearly all of its water frozen.
- This is a cold world with an overall climate that is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance.

Jurich-Duseb System[edit]
The primary is Jurich, an ordinary red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.0136 Sols, a mass of 0.3626 Sols, and a diameter of 551,000 km. (I) a sparse icy planetoid belt, (II) a very thin atmosphere iceworld, (III) Charlan, a ringed large gas giant: (IIIb) Duseb is its second moon and is designated the mainworld, (IV) an exotic atmosphere radworld, (V) a small gas giant, (VI) a small ice giant, and (VII) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
(III) Charlan[edit]
(III) Charlan is a large gas giant that orbits Jurich at a mean distance of 0.72 AU and has an orbital period of 1 year 29 days. It has a diameter of 112,000 km and is a heavily banded deep blue colour. It retains a family of three major satellites of which the second, (IIIb) Duseb, is designated the mainworld.

(IIIb) Duseb[edit]
(IIIb) Duseb is the second of the three major moons of (III) Charlan and is designated the mainworld. It orbits its parent world at a mean distance of 15 diameters (1.68 million km), with an orbital period of 182 days 5 hours: it is tidally locked to Charlan. The axial tilt is 2 degrees relative to Charlan. Duseb has a diameter of 3,406 km, a density of 6.12 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.29 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Charlan cause regular geological activity. The atmosphere is rated as Trace, with a mean surface pressure of 0.005 bar and a composition of 95% carbon dioxide (CO2), 4% nitrogen (N2) and 1% water vapor (H2O), azane (NH3), carbon monoxide (CO) and other trace gases. Approximately 21% of the surface is covered in sheets of water-ice. Mean surface temperature: -133°C.

How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.
