Dempukish has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. This planet is tidally-locked to its primary star with a hot region facing the the primary, a cold region on the other side, and a habitable area in the twilight zone between. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Laraa Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Dempukish, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Shiishiiga.

Dempukish is a member of the Sylean Main.

Dempukish is a large waterworld, believed to be the core of a failed gas giant. It is tidally locked to the systems primary. It has an extreme axial tilt. The north pole permanently faces toward the star and experiences temperatures exceeding 130°C, with the south pole permanently faces away and endures temperatures of less than -150°C. The southern hemisphere is covered by vast ice sheets while the sea boils to the north. The weather is incredibly violent, and the air is tainted by volcanic sulfur compounds.

History and background

The world was colonized by Scanian's in the tenth century, who considered it a fitting place to study the teaching of their prophet Benjamin Ra'Scania.
