Description (Specifications)[edit]

The populous heart of the Ral Ranta polity.

Almost all of the Ral Ranta Empire consists of clans or tribes of closely related families. Other government structures exist, but the underlying political power resides with the larger and more powerful clans. Any system in the Empire might have one or more dominant clans running it. How they choose to do so varies, and this is reflected in the different government classifications given by the IISS. When in a Ral Ranta system, though, knowing what clan(s) run things is more important than knowing what sort of government is present.

Cimeon, subsector E of Hinterworlds contains 27 worlds with an estimated population of 49 billion, a per capita income of Cr1,771, and a total economy is BCr87,944. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr27 through 21 starports (4 Class A, 4 Class B, 9 Class C, 4 Class D) employing 8,015 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, five Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, four Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Cimeon maintain four Naval bases, three Military bases, and two Scout bases. The average technology level is 7 (with most between 5 and 10). The highest technology level is 13 at Dold (Hinterworlds 0813).
