Chell (Di 3201) does not meet the criteria for any standard classification.
- This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Sithula Subsector of Divide Sector.
Astrography and Planetology[edit]
This star system is detailed using the Fringian Variant System Description.
- It forms a part of the Glitterdrift Reach.
- It is a member of the Dena Trace.

System Data[edit]
Chell System[edit]
The primary is an Unnamed ordinary red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.04 Sols, a mass of 0.489 Sols, and a diameter of 764,000 km. (I) Chell orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (II) an exotic atmosphere stormworld, (III) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, (IV) a very large gas giant, (V) a ringed large gas giant, (VI-I) a small gas giant, and (VI-II) a small ice giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data[edit]
(I) Chell[edit]
(I) Chell is designated the mainworld. It orbits the primary at a mean distance of 0.15 AU (22.4 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 30 days 8 hours: it is tidally locked to the primary. The axial tilt is 2 degrees. Chell has a diameter of 6,182 km, a density of 4.67 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.41 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of the primary cause frequent geological activity. Its atmosphere is rated as Standard, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 0.89 bar and a composition of 80% nitrogen (N2), 19% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The taint is caused by airborne radioactive dust: radiation levels exceed 2 rads per hour. Approximately 52% of the surface is covered in oceans of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.5m. Mean surface temperature: 31°C. The atmosphere is active and strong weather systems driven by the star and the oceans sweep across the globe. The climate is static.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Chell, the mainworld, has extensive native life, consisting of multicellular organisms and stromatolite-parallels that can be found in almost every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Chell system has been studied by the Local Astrographical Survey Project, a part of the Astronomy Department of the University of Selasia.
