Blood Nymph (Creature) Synopsis[edit]

Blood Nymphs are an annoying form of scavenger insect.

Blood Nymph (Creature) Physiology & Ecology[edit]

Blood Nymphs are an annoying form of scavenger insect. The size of a wasp, they can come in virtually any coloration from dull green to fluorescent pink.

These fast insects are found in a variety of environments, and until recently were believed to be a variety of species. Instead, recent data shows that they have a common gene pool relating back many thousands of years, at least as early as the first Ziru Sirka. Indeed, there are surviving records of these beasts on Vland from that time.

Blood Nymph (Creature) Diet & Trophics[edit]

They are attracted to any warm-blooded creature. They swarm and can smell blood from miles away. The other name, Death Wasps, comes from the tendency to swarm over newly deceased bodies that died of open trauma, such as gunshot wounds.

Blood Nymph (Creature) History & Background[edit]

Despite the level of annoyance, the blood nymphs make a sweet honey-like substance. It is reputed that the more carnivore the diet of the consumer is, the more appealing the taste of the honey. It is relatively safe to harvest if one is healthy and alone.
