• It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Akkula Worlds Subsector of Ilelish Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
• This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
• This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Base 271 has 15-25% of its surface covered by ice, either in vast sheets or contained deep within craters or fractures on the surface. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants can be got by mining and melting ice.

• The surface of the world is composed of a crust of ice many kilometers thick.
• Much of the surface is cratered and covered in thick layers of regolith and dust of meteoric origin, leaving only around 20% of the icy outer shell exposed.
• Below the outer icy shell there may be a world-ocean of liquid water.

Llelish Interstellar, the leading media corporation within Ilelish Sector, maintains facilities and offices on the world.

Base 271 has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
