Historical Data[edit]

The native, reptilian sophonts of Balzac died out from unknown causes long before Humaniti arrived here.

In 628, Balzac was the site of the final actions of Deneb's Bad War, which was waged in the early 600s. There the 45th Imperial Fleet had tracked down the rebellious forces of Chanus Reynald Humbolt, the Duke of Vincennes and patriarch of the Humbolt family.

The Imperial force, led by Admiral Derrassemi, Count of Kagush (Vland 2316), was composed of a Kalere class Dreadnought squadron, while the rebel force included the dreadnoughts Magaku, Luurisham, Kuyoga and their support ships. In a conclusive encounter, the rebel dreadnaughts were destroyed and the Humbolt patriarch was killed in personal combat with Count Kagush on the deck of the Imperial Fleet Flagship Torrepeg.
