Apolo has an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids. The system supports a population in the hundreds of millions. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Bolivar Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Apolo, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdom of a viscount. Both are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships. During the Long Night this world was named Arishri.

Astrography and planetology

Apolo is a member of the Nimluin Cluster. The naval base hosts elements of the 83rd Fleet.

The planet is in a very close orbit of the system's primary and is subject to great gravitational stress, leading to a very-tectonically active world.

Native Lifeform: Chraenta

There are a variety of native lifeforms encountered on Apolo, but most notable is the Chraenta. These are large bat-like creatures that spend their entire life on the wing. The Chraenta use a form of radar to locate their food, and the government has banned the use of some common radio channels as a consequence.

History and background

Over eighty percent of the population live in massive orbital cities, floating on the upper reaches of dense chemical soup that is Apolo's atmosphere. The remaining twenty percent live in huge factory ships extracting and processing valuable mineral and organic compounds from the oceans and atmosphere.
