Anshaar supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Bolivar Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Amec Trade Protectorate and the Domain of Vland. Anshaar, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Uusshii A. The Nahuatl name of the world is Cteonanacatl.

Astrography and planetology[edit]

Anshaar is a member of the Nimluin Cluster.

Anshaar is a barren wildness of a planet, but if one looks closer, there is a richness of simple lifeforms that dwells just out of sight.

Native Lifeforms: Mosses & Fungi[edit]

The only native life consists of millions of different types of mosses and fungi as well as edible worms that form the staple diet. Most of the inhabitants are experts in the preparation and use of hallucinogenics made from the worm excretions and various fungi. Rumor has it that there is a secret sect of Cteonan's assassins who practice the art of undetectable poisoning. For most people their only contact with the botanical arts of Anshaar is when they consume the sacred fungus Nanactl at the Festival of the Dead.

History and background[edit]

Colonized by natives from the Andes near the end of the Rule of Man, the local people have physically adapted to the extremely thin atmosphere.
