Anata is an icy vacuum world with little or no atmosphere and a significant quantity of water frozen on the surface. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Gimushi Subsector of Empty Quarter Sector and in the Domain of Antares. Anata, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world has a nearby Naval Base, capable of handling warships.

History and Background

One of the culturally nicest worlds in the Imperial Empty Quarter, Anata is a wealthy, sensibly–run, and very democratic world, populated by American Indians following an idealized Ancient American (c. –2600 to –2500 Imperial) pseudo–agrarian/pseudo–hunter–gatherer culture within their habitat domes.

This world is populated primarily by American Indians, who rent the right to settle and govern the world from a Vilani-Iranian family that currently resides in Antares Sector.

Pirate risk: Local system space is pretty calm, as the world is guarded by some tough Amerind mercenary and starmerc groups.
