Makhidkarun retires its top executives to Amsa for their health. Domed parks surround these people's homes, where the low gravity prolongs life and makes activity easier.

World Starport

Amsa has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Arean Transport LIC, a wholly owned transport subsidiary of Makhidkarun, provides exclusive transport for all cargo and passengers to and from Amsa.

World Economy

During the Vilani resurgence following recontact with the Syleans, Zirunkariish entered into a debt consolidation and restructuring deal with Makhidkarun, allowing both to grow. Part of that deal allowed Zirunkariish to build, operate, and maintain retirement facilities for its top executives on Amsa for their health. Zirunkariish Healthcare System, LIC is thus responsible for the facilities on Amsa.

Most facilities are private and under the purview of either Makhidkarun or Zirunkariish -- the latter through Zirunkariish Healthcare System, LIC -- but First Medical LIC has the contract to maintain the system's General Hospital and starport medical facilities. This was brokered through Zirunkariish to allow First Medical to also retire its top executives to Amsa. Many First Medical personnel additionally serve on the staffs of the various retirement facilities.

Zirunkariish also brokered Pharmacologique Fabrique LIC to place an immunobooster and anagathics research center on Amsa in return for allowing PF to retire its top executives there. The center works for the benefit of the retirees of all the companies residing here.

Zirunkariish maintains offices on Amsa that includes a trading clearing house that services its retired top executives.

The Timer Club of Amsa LIC is a licensed Timer club located on this world for the exclusive use of top executives retired here by their employers (Zirunkariish, Makhidkarun, First Medical LIC, and Pharmacologique Fabrique LIC).
