Adaim has a population between 10,000 and 10 million sophonts, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This world is a satellite of a gas giant or another planet in the system. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Old Suns Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Adaim, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships. During the Long Night this world was named Guui.

Astrography and planetology[edit]

Adaim is a member of the Guukian Cluster. The naval base hosts elements of the 186th Fleet.

Adaim is the largest satellite of the system's only gas giant.

Adaim has always played second fiddle to Imau, Ikiir and the other naval bases in the subsector as its role has always been one of support, training and minor repair of the crews and craft housed at these other bases. When new personnel or ships arrive in Old Suns, they come here first for their shakedown.

History and background[edit]

The one and only city on the planet, Lumaine, has a reputation for wild revelry when naval crews get their shore leave. The city is home to about 65,000 inhabitants mainly supporting the naval presence, although there are a few, independent prospectors and miners.
