Shinkan, subsector D of Core has 34 worlds, of which 26 have native gas giants. The estimated population for the subsector is 19 billion sophonts (not necessarily humans). There are four High population (Hi) worlds, six Moderate population (Ph) worlds, eight Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, ten Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. There are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds versus eight Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, and five Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds. There are four Rich (Ri) worlds versus three Industrial (In) worlds. There are three Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, three Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, no Poor (Po) worlds, nine Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world. There are 13 Naval bases in the subsector, six Scout bases, and no Way stations. The Imperial nobility includes 34 Knights, nine Baronets, seven Barons, eight Marquises, six Viscounts, four Counts, one Duke, and one Subsector Duke. The highest population worlds are Dureija (Core 2608) and Ishnuunar (Core 2904). The highest tech level is F at Erani (Core 2501) and Kimvle (Core 2709). The average technology level is 10 (with most between 7 and 12).
