Saven has a tainted atmosphere and a lack of available surface water, making habitation by sophonts difficult. The system has a population of tens of millions of sophonts. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Laraa Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Saven, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships. During the Long Night this world was named Miiam.

Astrography and planetology[edit]

Saven is a member of the Sylean Main.

This inhospitable desert world is ravaged by violent toxic winds.

Point of Interest: Saven Naval Base & Rugged Environment Training School[edit]

In modern times the world has benefited from the reestablishment of the naval base, which houses a Rugged Environment training school. The world provides a taxing environment for the training of marines and naval personnel in survival techniques.

History and background[edit]

It is home to a very hardy group of humans. These inhabitants are descendants of prisoners, Vilani political and social malcontents exiled to Saven during the rise of the Solomani. There are a few people of Solomani descent as well, those who were sympathetic to the Vilani or tended toward violence.

During the Second Imperium the Solomani maintained a Naval base and interdicted the world in an effort to keep people out of the system as much as keeping them in. The Savons nearly died out during the Long Night, but were saved by the intervention of nearby systems that regained jump-capability.
