Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]

Orichalc, subsector E of Alpha Crucis has 37 worlds, of which 33 have native gas giants. The estimated population for the subsector is 50 billion sophonts (not necessarily humans). There are three High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 15 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, ten Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. There are six Agricultural (Ag) worlds versus one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, and six Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds. There is one Rich (Ri) world versus two Industrial (In) worlds. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, five Poor (Po) worlds, seven Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds. There are two Naval bases in the subsector, one Scout base, and no Way stations. The Imperial nobility includes six Knights, one Baronet, no Barons, one Marquis, one Viscount, one Count, and no Dukes. The highest population world is Cthonia (Alpha Crucis 0515). The highest tech level is F at Quetzlcoatl (Alpha Crucis 0220). The average technology level is 10 (with most between 7 and 12).

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Light Vilani settlement during the Ziru Sirka was followed by much heavier Solomani emigration at the end of the Interstellar Wars period. The centrally located Cthonia became the predominate industrial and trade center of the subsector. This influence continued during the Long Night through the actions of the Protectorate of Cthonia, which lasted until the arrival of the Third Imperium.
