History

Of the many Ship Classes of the Royal Caledonian Navy, the TL12 Montrose class were a dramatic departure from the earlier Kilbride class, these were new from the keel up and not a retro-fitted hull. They were the first to use the meson spinal mounts instead of the particle accelerators, they have the newer computer upgrades, heavier armor and defenses than the Kilbrides, with screens and repulsors. Fully streamlined to take advantage of all wilderness refueling opportunities, there are 64 still in service.
