McKenzie is a vacuum world, with no atmosphere or hydrosphere. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. This world is a satellite of a gas giant or another planet in the system. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Khandi Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. McKenzie, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Gakpasar.

History and background[edit]

Originally established as a miners colony, the world was abandoned during the Second Imperium after its mineral wealth had been extracted. The world was bought by Jaymi Gregorach McKenzie in 765 as a headquarters for McKenzie Extractions and home for the clan McKenzie.

Today, only family members are allowed to stay in the system for more than six months. The port Foxtrot Oscar (A phonetic radio insult intended to tell visitors to go away), is constructed from the remnants of ancient spaceships attached together by walkways. The main port complex is the hull of The Maverick, a decommissioned Imperial Voroshilef Class Battleship. Three ex-Imperial transports connected together form the warehouse section of the port. The only civilian settlement in the system is the clan home, deep underneath the port, known as Caern Sidhe.
