Mainworld Data[edit]

A popular survival tourist destination. The large equatorial desert continental landmasses are nearly devoid of population.

The small polar ice caps have some spectacular jagged razor ice cliffs and gorges. The relatively low gravity and thin air combine to allow landforms that would be impossible on larger planets. The pillars of fire are a locally famous collection of stone spires sculpted by the forces of weathering and erosion.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

The planet had native life at the time prior to colonization. Imported lifeforms were genetically modified and tailored to adapt to the local flora an fauna with some unexpected results. Trial and error led to some artificial selection and extinction events.

History & Background / Dossier[edit]

Part of the Mnemosyne Principality, an arid low population colony, with relatively high technology and a good starport. A military governor has nominal control of the settlement around the downport. There are orbital facilities, a bit crude by imperial standards, with maintenance for military ships. A small military boatyard is located on the mainworld's outer moon.

  • A Class-B Starport Facility has not very well developed shipyards and is only capable of producing spaceships.
  • This facility has many very skilled personnel who can perform not only major repair work, but overhaul work as well.

  • Almost every starport of this class possesses both a Lowport and a Highport. Such ports rarely have more than one of each kind of port.

There is a small custom cybernetic industry, and locals have embraced a social sub-class of cyborgs. There are a small number of prospecting seekers and scouts where natives are spliced into the mechanisms of their ships. These radical alterations are offered as elective surgery for natives with paralysis from nervous system damage. Travel suits and large armored slave robots serve in the security forces. Cargo servitor/stevedore robots are plentiful at the starport. Imported Zhodani computer and robotic processors and software enjoy high prices as high demand trade items. Mossip and Eterra also provide some higher technology computers which the locals use for crude AI. Annual robotics conferences are used to try to attract experts and scientists from across the sector to add functionality beyond what the listed technology level would suggest. Wounded veterans are turned into cyborgs as opposed to retired or healed with biological grafts and regrown organs.
