Knorrvok supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. The world has a colony on Lloezuknurzoukaeng (Knoellighz 2332). This is a temperate world, with a climate of average temperatures. It is a Vargr dominated Non-Aligned world in the Raelas Subsector of Knoellighz Sector.

Description / Astrography & Planetology[edit]

Knorrvok C564300-9 Lo Ga can be found on a distant arm of the treasured, Jump-1 main called the Bridge of Destiny in Raelas Subsector. Its most interesting astrographic feature is its F5 D primary star, also known as a Mainsequence Sub-dwarf.

  • This system was once incorrectly marked on star charts as Lloezuknurzoukaeng.
  • This world was once known as Kholl.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Initial scout surveys have failed due to a nocturnal pouncer-predator called a Nightsleek. This panther-like feline features a quilled, black pelt so dark in color, the creature is nigh-invisible to even low-light technology. Instead the creature was discovered after a few attacks on scouts via the use of infra-red enhancement sensors that betrayed the animal’s stealth. Small prides stalk the shadow hours, (the mainworld has little true night due to its system’s White Dwarf captured in an outer orbit). Unfortunately, the nightsleek finds Vargr flesh nutritious. Its pelt is becoming a fashion accessory worn with pride after surviving an attack. The planet at 1105 is rapidly becoming a hunting reserve attraction to safari vessels to the chagrin of local ecologists and environmentalists.

History & Background / Dossier[edit]

As of 1105, the mainworld, a pristine Garden planet has yet to be colonized due to arguments on various topics of logistics that have delayed initial landings. Instead, the government of the Ascendancy Pact has elected to construct a single contra-gravity town-sized, ‘Downport’ platform in the skies over the untouched green. Lacking any Gas Giants or planetoid belts to mine, the system has only the mainworld to entice colonists. The system has been ear-marked as a futures growth investment and has yet to pass an entire biosphere survey due to lack of co-signing entities or government agencies.

The mainworld of Knorrvok features a standard, comfortable atmosphere which environmentalists describe as an immunity-stimulant. For the naturally-developed compounds found in trace amounts have been found to boost immune systems after a period of a week’s exposure.

World Starport[edit]

Knorrvok has a routine quality starport.

  • A Class-C Starport Facility has minimal if any shipyards and can only perform extremely limited repair work.
  • This facility has many very skilled personnel who can perform surprisingly sophisticated repair work despite the limited facilities.
  • This facility has refueling infrastructure and limited refining capabilities. One may purchase unrefined fuel here.
  • Starports of this class rarely have both a Lowport and a Highport.

World Technology Level[edit]

Knorrvok possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
    • Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gears.
    • Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
    • Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft, and interstellar STL starships
    • FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.

World Government[edit]

Knorrvok has no well-defined government structure.

  • In many cases, tribal, clan or family bonds predominate.
  • The typical power source of this government is an Pantocracy or Chaos.
  • The typical power structure of this government is a Confederation (Anarchy).
