Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]

Karse, subsector K of Old Expanses has 31 worlds, of which 24 have native gas giants. The estimated population for the subsector is 148 billion sophonts (not necessarily humans). There are four High population (Hi) worlds, six Moderate population (Ph) worlds, eight Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, three Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. There are seven Agricultural (Ag) worlds versus one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, and seven Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds. There are six Rich (Ri) worlds versus one Industrial (In) world. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, five Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, five Poor (Po) worlds, five Vacuum (Va) worlds, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds. There is one Naval base in the subsector, five Scout bases, and two Way stations. In Karse there are two race homeworlds. The Imperial nobility includes 28 Knights, one Baronet, eight Barons, 11 Marquises, six Viscounts, four Counts, two Dukes, and one Subsector Duke. The highest population world is Ropram (Old Expanses 1822). The highest tech level is F at Villan (Old Expanses 2021) and Samosk (Old Expanses 2329).
