History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

At 1105 Geker (Knoellighz 3130) B610300-6 De Lo is a discard of the Democracy of Greats polity in its slow creep Coreward.

World Starport[edit]

Geker has a good quality starport.

  • A Class B Starport Facility has not very well developed shipyards and is only capable of producing spaceships.
  • This facility has many very skilled personnel who can perform not only major repair work, but overhaul work as well.
  • This facility has advanced refueling and refining infrastructure. One may purchase practically any kind of refined fuel here.
  • Almost every starport of this class possesses both a Lowport and a Highport. Such ports rarely have more than one of each kind of port.
  • Surrendered to its fate as an almost-vacuum stepping stone mainworld, the forgotten, B-rated Downport is barely maintained by the population of 3,000 Vargr.

World Technology Level[edit]

Geker possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
    • Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gears.
    • Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
    • Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
    • FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.

World Government[edit]

Geker has no well-defined government structure. It is an Anarchy.

  • In many cases, tribal, clan or family bonds predominate.
  • The typical power source of this government is an Pantocracy or Chaos.
  • The typical power structure of this government is a Confederation (Anarchy).

World Military[edit]

Without Law and only individual decency as a Government, Geker is a little-used route, even for smugglers, Navy patrols from the apathetic Democracy of Greats and has almost nothing to offer even at TL 9.

World Economy[edit]

Imports keep the Downport in business due to clandestine investment in the Zathurrue slave trade to Rimward.

Historical Data[edit]

With no local Gas Giants a lack of water and few natural resources, Geker is no longer a financial burden upon the departing Democracy of Greats. While for sometime after the world was forsaken, the inhabitants had some hope of annexation by another polity such as the Oculus Alignment or the Bakne Alliance, but both have not crossed the Zarthurrue subsector for different reasons.
