Cimmeria has an trace atmosphere and almost no surface water. The system has a population between 100 million and a billion. The world has a colony on Imgaa (Dagudashaag 1409). This is a cold world with an overall climate is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Ushra Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Cimmeria, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the feifdoms of a marquis and a viscount. All three are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. During the Long Night this world was named Dide Am.

Astrography and planetology[edit]

This world almost tidally locked. It rotates once every 35 standard days while the world orbits its star, Crom, every 46.7 days. This results in the nights on Cimmeria being extremely cold.

History and background[edit]

The population, mostly composed of Scandinavians, has remained within the original five settlements, each of which has become an independent state. Because of politically motivated aggression between the settlements conflict and war has become a permanent feature of Cimmerian life. To prevent disaster befalling the settlements such conflicts have become ritualized in style and are fought on Sonya, one of the outer worlds, to prevent civilian casualties. These wars are holovised and the winning "teams", volunteers all, are treated as local celebrities.
